Social and Emotional Learning | Edutopia has two great articles on the subject of social and emotional learning I would like to recommend. The first is "5 Myths of Working Against Character Education in in Our Schools," which can start a substantive conversation about jump starting social and emotional learning programs. The second article is "The Adolescent Brain: Leaving Childhood Behind," which every parent will find insightful, and not a little bit frightening. Each article reflects the importance of developing an education system, and more importantly home life where social and emotional learning is a priority. |
